Propose an Educational Idea

Many opportunities are available to become involved in DIA events. One avenue is to propose an educational idea. Educational ideas can be presented to DIA for many different types of educational offerings. Please see the right panel for a list and summary descriptions.

Propose an Educational Idea
Meetings are normally face to face events that last from one to two days. Sessions within these meetings number about four per day and average 90 minutes each. Presentations within each session are 20-30 minutes plus a ten minute question and answer period.

Tutorials are designed to be either three or six hour events. They consist of one to three instructors and offer participants more in-depth, hands-on experience in specific subject areas.

Webinars are designed to be a 90 minute presentation, usually consisting of three presenters. Each webinar is a live web-based event that offers participants the ability to participate and ask questions from their home or office.

Archived Webinars present the content – audio, video, and associated powerpoint presentations – from previous webinars, archived in a format you can easily download onto your home and office computer.

Training Courses are typically two to three days in length and are led by expert faculty actively practicing in their particular discipline. The content for each course is consistent in each offering, and the course size is limited in attendance to provide participants with a more personable, quality learning experience.

eLearning is web-based courseware that users can access at any time, from any Internet-enabled location. eLearning program content is developed under the watchful eye of DIA subject matter experts, actively practicing in their professional disciplines, so users receive the same expert content that is presented at traditional DIA meetings and training courses. Most eLearning courses offer continuing education credits.
